Devika Rani
Devika Rani Chaudhuri Roerich was an Indian actor. She was born on March 30, 1908 in Waltair, presently known as Vishakhapatnam.  In 1933, she made her first debut in the film Karma with his husband Himanshu Rai. Later, they both founded the Bombay Talkies film studio. After the death of her husband in 1940, she remarried in 1945 to the Russian painter Svetoslav Roerich. Later, she left films and joined his husband in Bangalore.
In 1958, Devika Rani was honoured with the Padma Shri by the President of India. She became the first recipient of the prestigious film prize, the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 1970.
