Deodhar Trophy is named after Prof. D. B. Deodhar, who is known as the Grand Old Man of Indian cricket. It is one of the domestic cricket tournaments in India and immensely popular. It is a 50 over one day match played on the basis of league among the 5 zonal teams East Zone, West Zone, North Zone, South Zone and Central Zone. It was started in 1973-74, when South Zone won the trophy. In 2006-07, it was won by West Zone. North Zone has a record of winning the tournament 11 times. |
