ICC Cricket World Cup 2007 Mascot was an orange mongoose known as Mello. It was neither an object, animal nor person, but a young, fresh, friendly, contemporary character with bright eyes and a cheerful smile on its face. It stands for the zest for life and is in his teens. He is socially aware and yet cheeky and curious. This impressive personality is completely aware of the growing HIV epidemic across the world and thus was shown wearing a red ribbon to express his support for the ICC/UNAIDS initiative.
The ICC Cricket World Cup 2007 was sponsored by chief global corporate. The official global partners of the world cup were LG electronics, Hutch, Pepsi and Hero Honda. The official sponsors were Indian Oil Corporation, Cable and Wireless, Visa Cards, Scotia Bank, Johnnie Walker and Red Stripe. Some of the official suppliers were GL Events and BMW.
Rules & Regulations Schedule
Some of the rules and regulations, as per the schedule of ICC Cricket World Cup 2007 were that all the matches, One Day Internationals had to function according to the norms of ODI rules. All matches had to be of 50 overs, unless declared otherwise by the match referee or the umpires. In case of bad weather, every team must have batted and bowled for at least 20 overs to get a result. A bowler could bowl 10 overs per match at maximum. The timing of the matches was 9:30 to 17:15, as per West Indies times. The first innings ran from 9:30-13:00 and the second innings from 13:45 to 17:15.
