Comb Duck

The Comb Duck, previously known as the Knob-billed Duck, is an unusual duck, which is found in tropical wetlands in South America, sub-Saharan Africa, Madagascar and south Asia.
The adult comb ducks have a white neck, head and under parts, and glossy blue-black upperparts. The head is freckled with dark spots. The male is larger than the female, and has a large black knob on the bill. The area under their eyes is white and their wings are green.

Comb Ducks wade in shallow waters and graze on grass or aquatic vegetation. They also eat seeds, invertebrates and small fish. The Comb Duck roosts in hollow trees or on the ground in long grass. Their nests are lined with reeds or grass, with feathers or other fine material.
