Christianity is one of the prominent religions in India. It is the largest religion in the whole world. Christianity was introduced by Jesus (Son of God). He was also called by the name of Messiah (Christ). Christians believed that Jesus was the messenger of God and born on earth to teach the lessons of humanity and brotherhood. Christians in India are heavily found in the southern India and Goa. Three types of Christians in India are Catholics, Orthodox and Protestants. The combined Christians are third largest group in India. Nearly 75 % Christians in India are catholic followers. A prominent feature about Catholic churches in India is that a Catholic Church comprises of Latin, Malabar and Malankara. |
