Bishan Bedi is a former Indian player, who was an expert in slow left arm orthodox bowling. He fared well in the Test cricket and was a part of the Indian spin quartet. He even captained the national side in 22 Test matches. Bedi was often considered outspoken and forthright in his views on matters regarding cricket, which fetch him some controversies, as well. He became the first captain to grant an international cricket match in 1978. In domestic cricket, he played for Northern Punjab and then for Delhi. In the Ranji Trophy, he took 64 wickets. His career ended with 1560 wickets, which is more than any Indian. |
