Bipin Chandra Pal
Bipin Chandra Pal, teacher, orator, journalist, writer and librarian; was born on November 7th 1858 in Poil village in the Habiganj (now in Bangladesh). He (‘Pal’) one of the triumvirate of 3 militant patriots of the Congresses - the ‘Lal Bal Pal’. The trio was behind the 1st accepted upsurge in opposition to the British colonial policy in the year1905 during the time partition of Bengal. Bipin was also the founder of ‘Bande Mataram’, a nationalist journal.
He was influenced by some of the eminenet Bengali leaders such as Keshab Chandra Sen and Sibnath Sastri. He was imprisoned for a span of 6 months on his refusal to offer evidence in opposition to Sri Aurobindo in the Bande Mataram treason case.

He passed away on May 20th 1932.
