The Bengal fox is a medium sized fox. Their coat is fawn orange colored with paler under parts and a black tip on its tail. Back of ears are dark brown with black margin. Its head and body length is 46–61 cm, with a 25–36 cm long tail. It weighs around 2-4 kg.
The Bengal Fox feeds on rodents, reptiles, crabs, termites, insects, small birds, and fruits. The Bengal Fox is basically facing a great threat. It is being hunted for its skin and also its body parts are used for making medicines. |
