Barabati Stadium Cuttack



Barabati Stadium is situated in Cuttack, Orissa. It has seating capacity of 35,000 spectators. This stadium has hosted Test match since January 1987 and ODI matches since January 1982. It was here only that Kapil Dev bagged 300th test wicket against Rumesh Ratnayke in 1987. This stadium hosted matches in 1987 Cricket World Cup between Australia and Zimbabwe and 1996 Cricket World Cup between India and Kenya. Here, Indian cricket players, Mohammad Azharurddin and Ajay Jadeja scored partnership of unbroken 275 runs against Zimbabwe. It was the highest ODI partnership that that point of time.
