| Later in 1872, Chatterjee brought out monthly Bangadarshan to stimulate the intellect of the Bengali speaking people. The magazine included stories, humorous sketches, historical and miscellaneous essays, informative articles, religious discourses, literary criticisms and reviews. The novel that got full recognition as historical fiction is ‘Rajsimha’. His noted novels were translated in almost all the major languages of India. On April 8, 1894, he passed away. |
