Amitabh Bachchan
Amitabh Bachchan is one of the most prominent figures of the Indian cinema. He was born on October 11, 1942 and his real name is Amitabh Harivansh Srivastav. In 1970’s, he became popular as an action hero and has till date starred in numerous film genre.
Bachchan made his first debut in the year 1969 in the film 'Saat Hindustani', directed by Khwaja Ahmad Abbas. He holds the record for being nominated for most numbers of Best Actor at the Filmfare awards. In his acting career, he has been awarded with three National Film Awards and twelve Filmfare Awards. Besides, acting, he has also worked as a film producer, playback singer and hosted television shows. He was an elected member of the Indian Parliament from 1984 to 1987.
