Ajmal Khan

Ajmal Khan, a noted Indian freedom fighter, renowned physician and educationalist was born on December 29th 1863. He was the initiator of the Jamia Millia Islamia in Delhi, and the sole person to be chosen as the President for the Indian National Congress and the Muslim League, besides the All India Khilafat Committee.
Khan studied the Qur'an as well as gained the traditional Islamic knowledge, prior to studying medicine at Siddiqui Dawakhana in the guidance Hakim Jameel Siddiqui. In the span of 1892 to 1902, he was appointed as the chief physician to the Nawab of Rampur.

He began writing for Akmal-ul-Akhbar, the Urdu weekly that was initiated in the span of 1865-70. On December 29th 1927, Khan passed away due to heart problems.
